When the doctor asks for the blood culture as a part of walking pneumonia diagnosis he or she will send the blood to the lab. In the lab the technicians will try to grow bacteria and viruses in the sample.

Sputum Test

Sputum or the phlegm is often accumulated in the mouth every time the patient coughs. This sputum is collected in the sterile container. This is then tested to see what type of bacteria is responsible for the walking pneumonia.

After each of this diagnosis only, the doctor is able to decide on the antibiotic. The doctor for sure will always go in for a stronger dose for a speedy recovery.Pneumonia is contagious and hence needs to be attended immediately.
